Nice hotel, great location the beach is on your doorstep. The hotel is located in Leblon which I personally think is a nicer area than Ipanema and Copacabana - although they are both a short distance away and well worth a visit.

This is a little bit of paradise after staying in the big smoke....time to wind down and relax on some truly stunning beaches. it is really easy to get to Ilha Grande from Rio - you take a coach from the main station (about 2 hours - air con, comfy seats) then a ferry (about 45 mins), check out this website http://www.ilhagrande.com.ar/ for full details on how to get there, and full info on all the island has to offer - the major plus side is travelling here costs next to nothing - no more than 10 pounds return! I would really recommend this place and did not see better accommodation on the island and they make a mean caiprina! (try the passion fruit one it is great) You have to take a little boat over to the village (for shopping, restaurants etc), it is a 24 hour service and takes only a few minutes - refer to my pics to see just how close.
