My wife and me were in Hong Kong in 2004. We had four days break on our way from Perth. We had alovely time, and did alot of shopping, walking and tasting the
local chinese food. We think Singapore has better food than Hong Kong The Airport and the services are great.

exciting place I lived there in the eighties. Fantastic atmosphere but a little souless, ther's nothing that can't be bought, knocked down and rebuilt. There is a peaceful side if you seek it, try a junk trip up in the new territories as there are some nice beaches

I was in Hong kong for 18 months doing my National Service in the RASC from 1949/1951, Sailed to HK on the troop ship HM Devonshire and returned to the UK on The Empire Orwell.

I enjoyed my time in HK and spent many hours on Shecko beach and in the Army and Navy Club on Victoria Harbour for dinner!

In my time there, I dont remember any Skysraper buildings, but I do remember spending time in the hospital at the top of the Peak.

Always longed to return but never made it!!

Many thanks for reminding me of my many happy memories of the Iseland.
