Hello As Sailor I been many times in Honkong And net as the service man see HK from a diverend way The service man who been there for yeaars or months Agree I think That HK is a great city but I think HK know and the time that it was a colony from the UK A very diverend HK
I served with the Army in Hong Kong from 1977 to 1980 and to this day I say HK is the best place I have ever been too and served in. There is no place to compete and that includes most western countries; USA, Canada and all of Europe. It would be a dream to return at some stage, my fear being it may well have changed too much for my liking.
We have been in Hong Kong 21 years, I wonder how it's now? Mariner Hotel we been stayed. Visited most of the places and I misses the Sea Food in the Lama Island. Still wish to see one of the day.
