Are you aware of the south eastern asian practice of dog-wheedling? I was told about it but don't know if it's true although it was from a reliable friend with perfect sight. She says that dogs are put on to a rack made from rice and then stretched. very slowly so as not to hurt it but for quite a while. Dogs up to 15 feet long are reported to exist. They are then displayed in local towns on what might be described as mayday type fayres. It's an ancient practice but dying out due to global warming. Anyone else come across it?

Absolute drivel! I'm stunned that a travel report this bad made it to the "front page' of Yahoo UK but then, maybe it's just that Yahoo is aptly named. It's only merit is in highlighting the type of shallow self-absorbed supercilious young people that currently swarm around SE Asia. frankly, they make me gag.

Yay I 've always antd to go and this is just the kick in the bum I need!

Yeah, fully agree. This report is shallow, dull and uninformative. Its as though it was written to their Aunty in Slough rather than for a global audience. Come on Yahoo, can`t you do better than this?

Does the person that made this report have a mental age of 9 ?
These people are sad. I agree with mikekay44 and Dave.
Glossing over the war and having smiley photos taken in those tunnels is a disgrace. What's next having a birthday party in Belsen ?

I am a Vietnamese student in the uk ajdunc1 does not understand vietnamese culture, the war was along time ago,for example when you go to a funeral everyone is happy unlike in the west. We think why to be sad when to be happy is much better.Nealhooperuk i think someone make joke with you, alot of peaple eat dogs but not what you say.Raggy1852,there is crime in VN but its more safe than many countries. You can get a visa in Bangkok, takes 2-3 days.I hope many more tourists will come to Vietnam.
