this trip is amazing, you have alot to see in such a small amont of time. the best season to go in is Summer, because then you have the option of relaxing on one of Maltas many sandy beaches. or swimming in their clear blue seas! if you prefere to go and look into maltas deep history there are many site the are untouched from history, like the temples in Gozo, or the Silent City of Mdina. if you love to shop the capital city Valletta is the place to be, with shops, restaurants and places to buy souviniers. and only a short walk away is the Valletta grand harbour with amazing views of the 3 cities. if you are lucky you may catch the canons or the memorial bell that go off every day, which are a wonderful thing to see! the holiday will go so fast that you may not be able to fit all you have planned in, but remember you are always welcome to come next year!!! i know i will be going there!
My wife Heather and myself both visited Malta for first time 2 years ago. Mainly on the recommendation by an old friend who was there with the Royal Air Force back in 1940 - 44 (I think). - We had also made an additional contact over there by internet. Our first visit was for 7 days and have now revisited twice since. 2nd visit for 4 weeks 2007 and next March 2008 for 5 weeks. Our love for Malta is engendered mainly by the friendliness of the Maltese people also the slightly slower pace of life in the larger towns.
