Your story was great and sounded really exciting. I would love to go to South Africa and am looking for a person to travel with as it costs so much when adding supplements for single travel.

Huh - Thia place isnt all it is cracked up to be. for a start there was no mcdonalds, I couldnt even get egg n chips anywhere I tried.

There were also mosquitos, i got bit many times.
The lions that I saw didnt look as healthy as the ones in the local zoo, and I was appalled bythe quality of roads in mombasa. People moan about the M25 but the roads out there are terrible.
Some people moan about great yarmouth, but you can pick up a nice last minute deal on a caravan there for £300, you get a 14" tv with 5 channels and egg and chips is available on the caravan site.
You prob best doing something like that, stick with Haven or Pontins.

That sounds great. I'm going to Kenya in January 2008 and this makes it look really something to look forward to. Who knows, I may even finish up in the same hotel!

I was born in Nairobi and Mombasa used to be our second home. I have been living in UK since 1959.
I agree with you, Kenya is beautiful, Mombasa Beaches are awesome, and the Kenyans are very friendly and helpful people and the Safari's & spending time in Tents on safari's is the best way of being one with nature and listening to the wild animal noises & wilderness from the comfort of your Tent Bed, awesome awesome feelings and the best time you will have and a memory of a life time.
I know this as I visited and did a safari as a tourist way back in 1999.
