PARIS. To Paris visitor who thinks FOIE GRAS is "HEAVENLY". NOT SO HEAVENLY FOR THE POOR DUCKS crammed into small cages & FORCE FED food so their livers become so enlarged they cant stand. A VILE PRACTICE CRUEL & UNECESSARY when you think of the variety of food there is to eat.!!!!

I totally agree with the person above! why oh why does our poor animals have to suffer, just for someone to sound posh!!! Foie Gras! whatever! people should be ashamed of themselves. If I had my way, I would stand outside the restuarant, with a picture, showing these people just what happens to the food on their plate BEFORE they get to eat it!!!

Maybe the ducks do get it hard but who cares about them, its my taste buds that I care about
Foie gras is DELICIOUS
Mmmmm
A must if you visit Paris
I have a motto - Long as im enjoying myself, who cares about others

Maybe we should all turn vegatarian, this would stop all vile practices. We may even start treating each other better as well, thats definatley food for thought.

If the animal had the intellegence of a human, then we'd be the fois gras! How can WE be empathetic to animals! If we followed our religious belief there would be no war. Unfortunately Theresa P is a dictator by wanting us to be all vegatarians. To extrapolate.... those who find it difficult to deal with food and the way it's been prepared I'm assuming would find it diffictult to introduce conscription, corpral punishment, the cane, smacking, executing people......... (ok maybe a bit extreme but I hope you get my point).

Sounds like a lovely trip. Jools64abcde, I love your way of thinking and your spot on. I really hate these no good do gooders that seem to be getting everything banned that they dont like. Why do it? You're ruining our country. If you dont like it then dont do it, its as simple as that. Leave only the people that are getting enjoyment, in a horrible world, from something as simple as an animal because we are getting tired of you people trying ban the things we look forward to in life.

As no one carries coal to new castle, so hardly any one carries an old bag there, particularly to the area of Mont Martre.
