Well always fancied myself as a wannabe traveler but haven't really done that much of it (bar a few false starts here and there).. So to remedy that I booked a flight to Thailand with the return two months later... Yeah yeah, I know it's a well beaten track and almost a cliche to 'backpack' (if that's the word) round Thailand but I guess everyone has to start somewhere. I don't really want to plan things too much (though it's tempting what with the age of the Internet) and really don't want to spent too much time on the tourist trail.. Having said that I've already planned over half the trip already almost unwittingly and most of it IS on the bloody tourist trail.. I'm gonna spend just under three weeks in Bangkok before Traveling to Phuket for 5 days before undertaking a seven day border run to Kuala Lumpa.. When I get back to Phuket I want to explore some of the lesser known islands..
