Dia duit, I hope to visit Kilkenny this summer. This will be my fifth visit to Eire. I have not yet explored this area. I am drawn to the mystery of the ruins. Who was here? Why did they build this monastery? Why was is left in partial ruin, partial permanent monument? I will do my homework before I go. Kil = cille = church Kilkenny was a keepless castle built in the first half of the thirteenth century. There is something about a fox that is also caprivating. The wisdom, cunning, beauty. Like me, ha ha.
