Bin 941 Tapas Parlour
Here is a concept; serve artfully-crafted and savory appetizer dishes to loads of hungry, hip people in a tiny and crowded space. The result, no marks for guessing that, Instant success. Partnered with its uptown incarnation, Bin 942, this youthful establishment is packed full with old benches, church pews and 'found objects'. The tapas menu at the Bin 941 Tapas Parlour lets you feast on exotic, mouthwatering delights. Wash it all down with a glass of your favorite spirit. Come, indulge!
Everytime I travel to Vancouver, I make this my first and usually my only restaurant for dinner. The staff is very competent and always friendly. The food has never failed to be excellent. I highly recommend Bin941. Be there when it opens if you are on a time schedule.
This place has a very small menu with very few traditional "tapas", but they make the best Navajo fried bread I've ever tasted which complements their food. Small, but comfortable and good background music (loud but unobtrusive). I've been to many tapas restaurants around the world, which is why I said it's pretty average. Price is good though, and there is quite a range of red and white wines. They also serve sangria even though its not on the menu!
