Description
Strawberries take center stage in the design of this spacious basement restaurant, a well-known fixture on the hip Trzech Krzyży Square. The lavish interior design and awe-inspiring atmosphere, best described as Alice in Wonderland meets Marie Antoinette, is the creation of Magda Gessler, Poland's leading restaurateur. In close competition with the drawcord and ambiance, is the seasonally-changing menu, created in celebration of MoPo (Modern Polish) tastes. They present dishes like lovage whirled catfish with chanterelle gelé served with dill horseradish or dumplings made of celery root filled with boletus mushroom on a veal broth that taste every bit as superb as their description suggests. As expected, prices match the splendid surroundings and taste sensations, but the extravagant experience at AleGloria is worth every zloty.
